Stepping into a World of Fantasy

FLIST’s Summer School opens with a brand-new adventure. This month's Fantasy theme transforms familiar classrooms into places where dragons soar through the skies, ancient myths come to life, gods embark on epic journeys and magical creatures inspire children's imaginations. Rather than simply learning about these stories, students are invited to become part of them through creative activities, storytelling and play.

For young children, imagination can feel as real as the world around them. A cardboard castle becomes a fortress to defend, a craft project becomes a magical creature, and an ordinary classroom can suddenly become the setting for an unforgettable adventure. These moments do more than entertain. As children imagine together, they naturally build confidence in expressing themselves and sharing ideas with those around them.

Much of the excitement comes from how naturally the theme extends throughout the day. Stories inspire art projects, classroom discussions become imaginative conversations, and creative activities encourage children to think beyond what is directly in front of them. Fantasy also creates opportunities for collaboration. Whether imagining new adventures together, writing a story inspired by mythical beings or crafting a unicorn out of a paper plate, students are encouraged to listen to one another and bring their own ideas to life. Every child brings something different to the story, making each activity unique.
